Hackathon Rules

1. Fresh Code Only You can brainstorm, design mockups, and build your team before the event, but all code must be written during the hackathon. No bringing pre-built, fully functional projects and trying to pass them off as weekend builds. We want to see what you can execute under pressure.

2. The "No AI Slop" Policy You are fully encouraged to use AI tools, copilots, and code generators to move faster. However, blindly submitting low-effort, broken, or unedited AI slop will get your project immediately disqualified. You must understand the code you are committing, and the final product must actually work. AI is your assistant, not your replacement.

3. Build It, Own It You retain full ownership and intellectual property rights to everything you build. We are here to provide a launchpad, not to steal your equity. If your project turns into a billion-dollar company, it’s 100% yours.

4. Teams or Solo (Maximum of 4) You can build alone or as a team, but teams are capped at four members. This ensures everyone is actively contributing and no one is just along for the ride.

5. Show Your Work Your code repository must be accessible to the judges (public or via a shared private link). If we can't verify that you actually built the thing you are demonstrating, the submission is invalid.

6. Respect the Space and the Builders (Code of Conduct) Harassment, discrimination, or toxic behavior of any kind will result in immediate removal from the event. We are here to build and push each other forward. Keep the competition fierce but respectful.
